What a journey we have had navigating the purchase process for our Italian palazzo. Our journey began in 2019 when we identified the property in which we were interested. The palazzo was built in the 1700's and the owner/ architect had plans for renovating the property and dividing it into multiple flats. The 2020 pandemic prevented our ability to travel to see the property. In 2021 we visited the property and in 2022 we engaged Italian Real Estate Lawyers to represent us in the purchase process. As it was an extensive renovation process, it took several years to complete. IREL assisted us throughout the entire process, meeting with us and the sellers virtually to discuss and negotiate, all the way through to the final step of representing us at the signing of the final deed that occurred in late November.
